USA Mail Services Plus is ready to act as your local office. We will gladly accept any and all mail and/or products on your behalf. We will keep track of your inventory and direct mailing lists. We will act as your warehouse or mail office. You set the schedule and time frame for mailings. Everything will be charged to your account. Corporate rates are available. After establishing an account, we will address your individual needs and set up a rate plan that will fit your companies needs.

 

What will you accept on my behalf to my mailbox?

 

Once you have established your account with us, we will accept all mail. Certified and registered mail. All FedEx, DHL or UPS packages. Any and all shipments sent to you by  merchants and individuals.

 

The only thing we will not accept is COD shipments, unless prior arrangements have been made and your account has been funded with the EXACT dollar amount due.

 

How often will you send me my mail?

You determine the frequency upon which we ship your correspondence and/or merchandise. To request a shipment, just log-in to your account, mark the items you would like shipped. You will receive a message in your inbox with choices of carriers and prices. You also have the option in your member profile to select the frequency in which we mail your documents only. This can be changed as often as you like, simply log-in to your account, select update profile and make your changes.

If I do decide to ship something to myself, how will you send my mail or packages? How long will this take?

All packages will shipped by a trackable shipping method through DHL, FedEx or UPS. These carriers provide reliable international shipping servie to virtually anywhere in the world. Depending on your location, your package will arrive in 1 to 5 days from the time it leaves our location. You can take advantage of special pricing discounts as our members.

Explain how condensing several packages will work and how can I benefit?


One of the best features about our service is that we will consolidate your shipment whenever physically possible. This is guaranteed to save you money

If due to physical size, or other constraints, or if it is not economical justifiable to consolidate your shipment, we will immediately notify you and provide you the most economical options for your particular shipment.

 

Do quoted shipping rates include customs taxes and fees?

USA Mail Services Plus rates include all door-to-door shipping costs. However, any costs related to customs, taxes or import fees are not included and may vary from country to country and over time. Your local customs office can give you detailed information about this topic. USA Mail Services Plus does not have this information.

 

What do I do about Junk mail received?

With most monthly plans USA Mail Services Plus Mailbox Manager gives you the control to discard any piece of mail you don’t want at no extra charge. By doing this, USA Mail Services Plus helps you save in shipment weight and costs.

Discarded documents (i.e. letters, etc.) are shredded in our warehouse. Magazines, packages, etc that can't be shredded are simply disposed of.

Please note that due to government regulations we may not always be able to discard your unwanted item. In such case, you will be informed via e-mail. If your plan does not include this feature you may upgrade your account by contacting us.

 

 

Can I be assured that my privacy and confidentiality will be protected?

We understand and share our customers' concern for confidentiality. The privacy of our customers is of outmost importance to us. Therefore it is our policy never to sell or give out the names, addresses or any other information about our customers. We would only provide information about your address to a judicial authority under court order or subpoena and never to private citizens.

 

Is my information secure?

When submitting information over the net we use a Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encryption software which ensures to protect your information from hackers and third parties.

We use a highly secure payment gateway to process you credit card, and we only include the last digits of your credit card in our correspondence.

We encourage you to keep your password complete confidential to secure access to your account.

 

 

How do I sign up for your services?

Go to USA Mail Services Plus.com, click on the SIGN UP link and follow the easy sign-up steps. In a few minutes you will have your own USA Mailing Address.

Once your account is set up you will be able to print the Form 1583 which is required by the United States Postal Service for us to receive mail on your behalf.

You need to print out and send us two signed and notarized copies of USPS Form 1583 which you will receive at the end of the signup process. Print out the form, sign it in front of a notary public (The US Consulate in your area can do this for you) and mail it to us together with photocopies of two forms of ID (for example passport and drivers license, national ID document).

 

How do I pay for shipments?


In order to open an account you will need an international credit card with the American Express, Visa or MasterCard.

Your card will be charged after every transaction that you request, along with your monthly membership fees

 

With your services, can I now order from companies that don’t normally ship internationally?

Yes! This is probably the most popular feature of your account. When buying online, by phone, or by catalog simply use your USA Mail Services Plus address as your shipping address. This will allow you to access products, promotions, and process otherwise available only to US residents.

USA Mail Services Plus eliminates the difficulties encountered receiving US letters (statements, checks, etc), magazines and trade journals not available internationally.

USA Mail Services Plus will at your request scan any document or letter in to your private mailbox for immediate viewing and printing. We will keep these documents in a file for you for up to 30 days. You may also have scanned documents re-sealed for shipping, or discarded and shreded if necessary.

Questions about the 1583 Form

 

What is form 1583 and why do I have to fill it?

 

Form 1583 is required by the United States Postal Service for us to be able to act as your agent for the purpose of receiving mail and packages. Form 1583 is a legal requirement and we can’t waive it under any circumstance. Click here for more information.

Where can I find the USPS form 1583? How do I complete this form?

At the end of your sign up you will be able to print out your 1583 form. You will be directed to step by step instructions per line of the 1583 Form. You will also receive an email confirming your signup and giving you a link to your form 1583.


What forms of Identification will I need for the 1583 Form?

Two types of identification are required. One must contain a photograph. Acceptable identification includes: valid driver's license or state non-driver's identification card; armed forces, government, university or recognized corporate identification card; passport or alien registration card or certificate of naturalization; current lease, mortgage or Deed of Trust; voter or vehicle registration card; or a home or vehicle insurance policy Unacceptable forms of identification include: Social Security cards, credit cards, and birth certificates.

What is a notary and where can I find one in my country?

A notary is a person that verifies your identity when signing Form 1583. The notary should witness the signature and affirm that you are who you claim to be by posting his/her seal to the form. If you don’t have access to a notary, or a notary is too expensive, you may find a local official such as an attorney, government or bank official who can stamp the form. You can usually find a notary in the local US consulate or embassy

 

Why can’t I email or fax you the 1583 Form?

The law also requires us to keep originals on file, thus we can’t accept a faxed or e-mailed copy. Form 1583 must contain the original signature and be stamped by a notary (or if a notary if not available by a government or bank officer (or attorney) with an official stamp). Two original copies of Form 1583 along with copies of two forms of identification will need to be submitted to us in order for us to activate all the features on the account. We will also need a photocopy of the front and back of the credit card you used to register.

Acceptable forms of identification include: Passport, Government ID, Driver’s License, Recognized Corporate ID, Insurance Policies, etc. For a complete list see Form 1583 (download here)

For a family, how many USP5 forms 1583's need to be filled out?

Spouses may complete and sign one Form 1583. Two items of valid identification apply to each spouse. A guardian must list the names and ages of minors receiving mail at their delivery address. In box 12 of the USPS form.

Can more than 1 person share a mailbox?

Yes! You may add up to 3 additional names onto your mailbox. A form 1583 is required by the United States Postal Service for each additional name on the mailbox. There is a one time setup fee for each name. Please check the rates page for more information.

What are Corporations required to do on the 1583 Form?

Business entities and Corporations may also have a USA mailing address through their USA Mail Services Plus account. The regular Unites States Postal Service form 1583 must be filled out by a representative of the company.

 

Questions for New Members

 
 

I have completed the registration process, when can I start using my new US mailing address?

You can begin giving your address out immediately to your friends and suppliers, provided that you send your Form 1583 to us right away. USA Mail Services Plus will receive correspondence on your behalf as of the moment you sign up, but if after 30 days we have not received your USPS Forms 1583 and copies of ID documents we will return the correspondence to sender. As soon as we receive your documents (USPS Form 1583 and two forms of I.D.) your box will be completely active and you will be able to request shipments of its contents

 

I have not received your welcome email Is everything OK with my account?

Why won’t you give me full access to my account until I send in Form 1583?

Unites States Postal Regulation require us to have that form before we open your account. Providing you with your USA address and some access to your account let’s you begin using some features of the service immediately. However, we can’t allow you full access (including shipping) until you complete the process.

 

I did not send my Form 1583 on time, will my account be automatically cancelled?

No. Since many customers use their USA Mail Services Plus address for other reasons than mail forwarding for which a form 1583 is not required your account will not be automatically cancelled and you will still be responsible for monthly charges.

Nevertheless, we may deactivate access to your Mail Manager online account and return mail to sender if we do not receive your form 1583 on time.

Questions for Users / Members

 

I travel frequently and need my mail shipped to my current location. How can this be done?

Many of our customers are frequent travelers. USA Mail Services Plus can forward your correspondence and merchandise to different addresses, including hotels. When choosing to ship your item, just select the address to ship to from your online address book, or enter a new address to ship to.

 

I don’t always have access to the internet. Can you still offer me service?

Absolutely! If you can’t access the internet we can simply forward all your mail and packages to you on a regular basis. When signing up, please make sure that you select your shipment frequency.

 

What chooses do I have with my mail prior to forwarding it?

With USA Mail Services Plus you always have choices. You will see in your member services section every item that has come in for you. You than can choose from our large services options. We will hold, repack, scan an important document or discard your junk mail.

 

What if I don’t want some of the mail that arrives in my box?

Simply mark all unwanted mail for us to discard by selecting the “junk” button next to the item in your “inbox”. We will immediately discard the letter or item and send you an email confirming such action.

Why was I charged for a heavier weight if my package was lighter?

Shipping companies calculate packages by their dimensional weight. USA Mail Services Plus supplies a Dimensional Weight calculator for its members when they are logged into their account so shipping costs can be more accurately assessed. Do you provide customs documents or commercial invoices? Can I choose what and how much to declare?


Yes, we normally prepare and include a commercial invoice at no cost to you with international shipments. We prepare a basic commercial invoice based on the information that you provide. You decide what item description and value is appropriate to the shipment's contents.

Please note that commercial invoices or any other customs documents are prepared as a courtesy and convenience to our customers. We do not guarantee that the commercial invoice will be accepted or adequate for any particular shipment or custom's authority. Furthermore we are NEVER responsible for any delays or problems in customs for ANY reason, including missing or improperly prepared documentation. You are ultimately responsible for customs clearance.

Customer's that would like to use their own commercial invoice or customs documentation may send that to us. We will if possible, include them with your shipment (an additional fee may apply). Again USA Mail Services Plus will not be responsible for any delays or problems in customs for having included or not included such documention with your shipment.

 

What shipment value should I declare?

The declared value is used for insurance and custom purposes. We recommend you declare an appropriate value for the item.

This value could be retail price, wholesale price, or any other value you feel is reasonable. Please note that our responsibility is simply to put the value you indicate in the customs form. You are ultimately responsible for determining the value and USA Mail Services Plus will not be responsible for any delays.

Please note that due to regulations in many countries, the value for insurance purposes may never be higher than the value for customs purposes

 

Can I ship anything? What are the prohibited items?

 

Although prohibited items vary by country, in no case can we ship internationally the following items:

-Hazardous Materials-Weapons and Ammunitions-Fresh Food and other Perishables-Plants and Fresh Flowers-Beeds
-Coffee-Frozen Items-Combustible/Flammable Materials (paints, oils lighters)-Pressurized Alcohol and Sprays-Animals-Bullion-Currency-Drugs/Narcotics-Human Remains-Pornography-Collectibles/Antiques/Rare items worth more than $499

Please ensure that any items you ship are allowed into your country before you ship the item. USA Mail Services Plus will not be responsible for items that are delayed, confiscated, or produce excessive duties due to customs regulations or customs difficulties.

You may also check the web sites of DHL, FEDEX, UPS and the USPS or check with your local customs office.
Please note that most carriers won't accept expensive jewelry for shipping or insurance.

 

Can I insure my shipments? How?

 

You will have the option to request insurance for manually generated shipments. A fee will apply.

Automatically generated shipments based on your selected automatic shipping frequency are generally not insured. If you want insurance please request the shipment manually.

 

 

Can I ship anything? What about export controlled items?

The US department of State may require special export license for products such as supercomputers, high end electronics with military application, etc. USA Mail Services Plus does not obtain special export licenses and will not ship internationally anything that it knows may need a special export license.

 

How do I cancel my account?

Please follow the steps below to cancel your account:

1) Notify all your senders and ensure that you are no longer receiving mail in your USA MAIL SERVICES PLUS account.

2) Ensure that your Inbox is empty. Request a shipment of all your INBOX items. Alternatively, if your plan includes the discard option you may place a discard order. If your plan does not allow discards but you prefer to discard your items, you may request to discard your items via email for a $1 per lb discard fee ($15 minimum).

3) Ensure that you have no balance due in your account. If you do have a balance due we will charge your card on record upon cancellation, therefore please ensure that we have current card information on file.

4) After your INBOX is empty and you balance due is zero please send us an email requesting the cancellation of your account. Please remember that our terms and conditions require a 30 day cancellation notice. So, we will charge a last monthly fee upon cancellation (or you may send a 30 day notice and then email us again to cancel at the 30 day mark)

Please be aware that as per USPS regulations we can't refuse delivery of your mail for the first 6 months after cancellation, therefore according to our operating agreement, after cancellation we will discard any mail or package that is received in your account.

We are sorry that you are thinking about cancelling your services.

 

How do I switch plans?

I would like to change some of my information on account, how can I do this?

In order to update any of your information, simply login to your account and select profile, there you can add or delete any of your information.

 

Can we send you Mail to be forwarded to our customers?

USA Mail Services Plus provides a variety of customized business services. Since no two companies needs are alike, please fill the form and we will be happy to provide you with a quote.

 

Where do you have offices?

Our office and warehouse is located in the Boca Raton, Florida area.

 

Can I use my address for anything? No restrictions?

You may use your address for almost any licit activity. However if we receive information that indicates that your account MAY be being used for illicit or fraudulent purposes, we reserve the right to cancel your account automatically and return all items to senders. In addition to obvious fraud, other activities for which your account might be considered for cancellation include:

1) Using your address mass mailings, direct mail campaigns, or for e-mail spamming campaigns.

2) Using your address for "phishing" activities.

3) Using your account to ship illegal or hazardous materials.

4) Using your address to malicioulsy misrepresent your identity to authorities or to the public.

5) Any other activities that may be considered illegal, unethical, or mallicious by USA Mail Services Plus.

Please note that we reserve the right to cooperate with authorities in combating fraud and identity theft. We will also honor all valid legal subpoenas.
